SODAMEDIA Summer Internship - Shanghai, China

Paid Summer Internship at SODAMEDIA

SODAMEDIA is a boutique branding and technology studio. President and Co-Founder, Ted Sanders ’98, is a Puget Sound alumni currently spear-heading his company’s expansion into the Chinese marketplace. They recently opened their Shanghai office (they also have offices in Hong Kong and New York), and are building quite the list of clients including Armani Exchange, Absolut Vodka, Cartier and IBM to name a few.

SODAMEDIA is seeking an intern to work for the duration of summer (if returning to school in the fall) or beyond (if graduating this spring or already graduated).

Who should apply: Students may apply no matter their year in school, as well as alumni. Ted left the internship description purposefully open, wanting instead to find someone with an intrinsic passion for culture, media, branding, technology, or any blend of these areas. They can teach the technical skills, but not the passion.

The intern will learn programming skills, prior knowledge in this area is great, but is by no means a requirement as they are happy to train the right person. Other areas the intern will gain exposure to include digital marketing and brand design.

Compensation will cover the cost living and meals for the duration of the internship. The company will help with applying for and obtaining a VISA to work in China. Additionally, Ted mentioned that acclimating to life in Shanghai is easy (relative to other Chinese cities) because of the large ex-pat population in the city.

How to apply (Puget Sound students only): Submit a Cover Letter and Resume to ces@pugetsound.edu and clearly state SODAMEDIA internship application in the subject line so it doesn’t get missed. These documents should be submitted no later than end of day Friday, February 17th, 2012. This position is also posted in LoggerJobs, our online job-posting system, and students may search for it by position title (Intern), company name (SODAMEDIA), or ID number (13193).
