Satellite Stump

I like coffee. A lot. I drink huge quantities of it, black, on a daily basis. And so when I was in Portland last week I made a pilgrimage to Stumptown Coffee, known for their obsessive relationship to the beverage. Turns out there are two local connections. The founder is originally from Puyallup, and there's only one place between Seattle and Portland that has been authorized to serve Stumptown: Satellite Coffee, just north of Wright Park. Read about it in the News Tribune; about Stumptown in the New York Times. And if you're local, check out Satellite--they brew a mean mug of java.
