CFR Conference Call on Transitions to Democracy and Market Economies

On behalf of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), I invite you to participate in the next session of the Winter/Spring 2013 CFR Academic Conference Call series on Wednesday, April 10, from 9:00 – 10:00 AM in WY 226. Isobel Coleman, CFR's senior fellow, will discuss transitions to democracy and market economies.

Dr. Coleman directs the Civil Society, Markets, and Democracy initiative at CFR. She also writes the CFR blog Democracy in Development. An expert on the Middle East, Dr. Coleman has testified before Congress on Iraq and Afghanistan. She is the author of numerous publications, including "Paradise Beneath Her Feet: How Women are Transforming the Middle East. " In 2011, "Newsweek" named Dr. Coleman as one of "150 Women Who Shake the World."
