The
Global Poverty Project is a group committed to education and advocacy.
We work in the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, and
Australia. GPP operates a diverse
series of campaigns designed to increase the number and effectiveness
of people working to end extreme poverty within a generation. Two of our
major campaigns are The End of Polio (www.endofpolio.com)
and Live Below the Line (www.livebelowtheline.com).
Live Below the Line encourages people to live on $1.50 a day for 5 days
to get a better sense of extreme poverty while raising money for their
favorite charity.
We
are hiring four dedicated and energetic people- Road Scholars- to
spread the message of extreme poverty around the United States. Road
Scholars will spend some time in New
York planning the tour and then will jump into our van for four months
on a tour of several parts of the country. The crux of our organization
and of the Spring Tour is the presentation ‘1.4 Billion Reasons’ that
explains in a clear and comprehensive way the
many facets of extreme poverty. As part of our team you will be
actively involved in many aspects of our organization and will meet and
inspire thousands of Americans.
