Career Fair Next Thursday, Sept. 27

Regardless of their major or year in school, the Career Fair is an excellent way for students to explore career options, and practice talking to employers.

Please encourage your students to attend the Career Fair on Thursday, September 27 from 4-7:00 p.m. in WSC Marshall Hall. 

We’re excited about the group of organizations attending the Fair this fall—Nordstrom and the Seattle Mariners are high-profile organizations that may appeal to all Puget Sound students. Also, here is a sampling of organizations that may be of particular interest to P&G students:

The City of Tacoma operates under the Council-Manager form of government and employees approximately 3,700 employees.

Fuse is the largest progressive organization in the State of Washington, using technology and grassroots organizing to protect equality and progressive policies in our state.

JET (Japan Exchange & Teaching) Program seeks to enhance internationalization by promoting mutual understanding between Japan & other nations. The program encourages foreign language & culture exchange by inviting foreign representatives to live and work in Japan for a year.

Peace Corps: Volunteers* work in over 70 countries around the world in the fields of education, health and HIV/AIDS, business, IT, the environment, agriculture and youth development. *Peace Corps ”Volunteers” are not without financial support.

Princeton in Asia offers service-oriented posts in education, journalism, international development (NGOs), and business, with a majority of fellows working as English teachers at universities and high schools.

Surfrider, committed to promoting clean water, beach access, and other advocacy issues, is seeking Community Organizer Interns, Legislative Policy Interns, and Student Interns with science backgrounds for specific project research.
