Organizing for America Internships

From: eekathrein@gmail.com  On Behalf Of Emily Kathrein
Subject: Political Internship Opportunity for UPS Students!

Hello!

My name is Emily Kathrein and I am the Youth Vote Director at Organizing for America - Washington (OFA WA), a project of the Washington State Democrats.
OFA WA is a multi-discipline organization that uses social media, communications and grassroots strategies to organize communities throughout the state. Since the 2008 election cycle, more and more young people have shown a greater interest in civic participation, community service and electoral politics. For those students, OFA WA offers a unique opportunity to work within their interests while gaining valuable interpersonal and leadership skills – OFA WA’s 2012 Fall Fellows Internship Program..

·  2012 Fall Fellows Internship Program: Students who have a passion and commitment to learn and gain on the job campaign experience can apply to OFA’s 2012 Fall Fellows Internship Program. Over the course of the internship students will learn principles of organizing and basic campaign strategy while implementing what they learn daily. Students who complete the program walk away with lifelong skills such as time management, critical thinking, and team building.

We look forward with working with you all during this exciting campaign season!  We ask that you share this information with your colleagues and all students who would be interested. If you have any questions regarding the specifics of our programs, please contact me at ekathrein@ofawashington.com or 206.218.4403.

Sincerely,
Emily Kathrein
