My name
is Cate and I work at the non-profit South Sound Outreach located in the
Hilltop Neighborhood here in Tacoma. With tax season approaching, we
are launching another year of our VITA program,
where we help low-income individuals and families prepare their taxes
free of charge.
I am
reaching out to organizations to recruit volunteers for VITA, and
thought UPS would be a great resource to reach out to students. Not only
is there a great community need for volunteers in
this program, but the experience of volunteering for VITA has proved to
be very valuable for students in years past, as they gain community
partnerships and skills.
