Edmonds Intern Campaign Manager Position

County Council Campaign Manager
10-15 hours per week
Now-Late August
Internship

Position Description:
The Pierce County Council is held by a slim 5-4 Republican majority.  Carolyn Edmonds (D) is running to unseat a Republican incumbent and flip the balance.

The campaign manager will work directly with Carolyn while under the supervision of the campaign consultant.  The intern’s primary job is to help the candidate maximize their time spent with voters and in fundraising.  Responsibilities will include tracking and organizing fundraising, event logistics, managing volunteers, data entry, doorbelling and phonebanking.  A reliable form of transportation may be necessary depending on the campaign and intern’s location.  Some campaign related experience is preferred – volunteer experience is fine – but more importantly, we’re looking for someone with energy and a passion for getting involved in local politics.

After August, this will be a paid position.  Graduating seniors interested in paid campaign work in the fall should consider applying and will be given first preference for that position.
