Senator Murray Internship Opportunities

From: Evans, Ariel (Murray)
Subject: Senator Murray Internship Opportunities

My name is Ariel Evans and I work in U.S. Senator Patty Murray’s Seattle office. I would like to take a moment of your time to introduce myself and Senator Murray’s internship program. As I mentioned, I work in Senator Murray’s Seattle office, I am a Seattle native and one of the three intern coordinators. Senator Murray offers internships in her Washington D.C., Seattle, Vancouver, and Spokane offices. Internships provide educational and career development while ensuring that students receive a comprehensive learning experience tailored to their interests. Internship opportunities are offered year-round on an academic quarter schedule.

Currently, we are still accepting applications for the constituent advocacy intern positions in the Seattle office for the fall and winter quarters. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the constituent advocacy process and the inside operations of a United States Senate Office. Responsibilities include verbal and written communication with constituents and government agencies, research into federal government concerns and general administrative duties. We also invite non students who are interested in constituent advocacy to apply for internships in the state offices.

If you know of any students who may be interested in this great learning experience, please feel free to forward them my information or they can also find more information on our website http://www.murray.senate.gov/internship. Attached is a one page flyer about the program and how to apply.
