Conference Recap

Last Friday we had our all-day conference on aviation and alternative energy. Students drifted in and out during the day (a few in the morning, good crowd around lunch time, tapering off by the end of the day as nice weather emerged). Representative Jay Inslee spoke about alternative energy, and his book "Apollo's Fire: Igniting America's Clean Energy Economy".




"Solar Richard" came by and offered to power the PA system with his mobile bank of solar panels. He calculated he saved us 17 pounds of carbon emission. You might recall we noted his profile in the NYT a few months back.
