Hello P&G Majors and Minors,
I wanted to make you are aware that we just added a new
course for Spring term. US Foreign
Policy in the Middle East will meet at 10-10:50 am on Mondays Wednesdays and
Fridays. Since it is being added late, it is likely to be a smaller
class and smaller classes are rare in IR, so I urge you to consider the class.
Prerequisite: PG 103 recommended.
After briefly exploring the history of the US in the
region we will grapple with the US role in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,
the multiple challenges in US-Iran relations, the escalating war against the
Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, and much more. So if you have a desire to
grapple with the challenges the US faces in this important but tumultuous
region, sign up.
