How engaged are we?

In past I have grumbled that while Puget Sound, like other schools, has comparative survey data on student perceptions of their education, they were unwilling to share it. That barrier has now fallen, and a number of schools, including ours, are sharing that data with US News and World Report. The National Survey on Student Engagement asks a range of questions about workload, faculty, and surveys students at the start and end of their education. Here is the data on Puget Sound in comparison to our liberal arts peers:
