Jordan Barber '09 writes that this summer he was working at the Cascadia Center for Regional Development, an environmentally minded non-profit that seeks to solve regional transportation issues. It's funded by a large grant from the Bill + Melinda Gates foundation. Jordan writes "I'd recommend it to anyone who has any interest in regional government or transportation related issues. As an example, I've been busy helping organize a conference co-sponsered by Microsoft focusing on technological developments in transportation. The internship is paid by the hour and they give you a flexpass for free. The hours are flexible."
