FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

CivicSpark is an award-winning AmeriCorps program dedicated to building capacity for community resilience issues such as climate, water, housing, and mobility. Launched in 2014 in California, CivicSpark is coming to Washington!

Starting this fall, 20 CivicSpark Fellows will have an opportunity to build a sustainability career by spending 11 months supporting local organizations with sustainability and social impact projects on topics including sustainable transportation, energy efficiency, climate action planning, water conservation, and drought response, and affordable housing, among others. Fellows gain community and career experience, training to become future leaders in the response to community resilience issues.

Exciting opportunities as a CivicSpark Fellow:
  • City of Olympia’s building decarbonization outreach and engagement initiatives
  • City of Maple Valley’s comprehensive and storm/surface water planning efforts
  • City of Redmond’s efforts to advance equitable climate solutions
  • Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington’s housing development programs
  • Gonzaga University’s “Beat the Heat” program for Spokane
  • A range of climate, energy, transportation, and equity projects with the state Department of Commerce, and more are coming.
CivicSpark is looking for upcoming and recent college graduates who want to gain real-world experience, start their careers in the sustainability and resilience fields, and make a lasting impact!
