Kammi
Sheeler, a Politics & Government Alumna (’11) and Fulbright
scholar, will discuss the current political and ethnic dynamics of
Bosnia and
Herzegovina based on her research and travel experience in the region.
Nearly seventeen years after the Dayton Peace Agreement ended the
Bosnian War, the fundamental questions of identity, legitimacy, and
allegiance that drove the war remain unanswered.  Kammi
will overview the ongoing divisions and the conflicting perspectives at
play in modern Bosnian politics.  She will also discuss the
international community’s role in efforts to consolidate Bosnia as an
independent, united state.
